All four of Seaforth’s developments are ‘upcycling’ of existing buildings, conserving the embodied carbon, and thus significantly reducing the environmental impact of development on the environment.
Space House:
Designed to be the UK’s first listed BREEAM Outstanding building
Central London’s best provision of cycle parking and showers per NIA of space, encouraging and fulfilling the market’s need to greener transportation
8BHY:
Infilling the top two floors using cross-laminated timber
Designing the façade with a minimum of 35% recycled metal
Both buildings are 100% electric, meaning no fossil fuels are burned in the operation of the building, and both have opening windows to encourage natural ventilation.
